Throughout history, from wars, marches, terrorist attacks, genocides, and more, people all over the world would have never thought to hear or see the heartbreaking and crucial acts being brought upon the people of Gaza. Acts that are almost identical to those of the Holocaust in 1933.
The middle east is hurting from this on-going Israel-Hamas war. People of Gaza have been taken hostage, imprisoned, tortured, beaten, and murdered. Recent updates on the death toll in Gaza from October 7th through November 24th show that 17,487 have been killed including 6,150 being children. More than 36,000 are injured. 75% of them are women and children and at least 6,800 are missing. Numbers are still climbing as hospitals and aid trucks struggle to treat as many people as they can.
Israel has been accused of committing over 19 war crimes since October 7th of 2023. Israeli “soldiers” that are imitating and converting what a real soldier is supposed to be. Doctors, journalists, students, the mentally and physically disabled, and families are being slaughtered. Schools, homes, hospitals, refugee camps, churches, bombed and destroyed. Even American lives from our homeland have been taken.
It is hard to have hope during these times, especially with the grief families are dealing with but recent updates showed the release of Palestinian prisoners, detainees and hostages. This has shed some light on the hearts of Gaza and the rest of the nation.
Citizens of America are showing their support for Gaza by creating fundraisers to raise money for urgent relief for Gaza’s children and participating in anti-war and pro-Palestine protests.
The Israel-Hamas war is a conflict that can only be resolved within that part of the world and its people. It is hard for other nations to watch from afar as another country suffers from the bloodshed happening before their eyes. All we can do is hope that peace is found between Israel and Palestine and show our support for Gaza. Our prayers are with you.
