Canadian R&B/ Soul singer-songwriter and record producer Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, professionally known as PartyNextDoor was born on July 3,1993 in Mississauga, Ontario. Brathwaite had a strong desire to write and sing songs from a young age.
PND was the first artist signed to Drake’s O.V.O sound label in 2013. Brathwaite has collaborated with hit artists such as Kanye West , Post Malone , DJ Khaled, Big Sean, Jeremih, and Rihanna. His famous hit song with Rihanna “work” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Apart from his hit song with Rihanna the song “Come and see me” assisted with Drake earning his debut Hot 100 entry as a lead artist peaking at No.55 and acquiring his first Grammy award for best R&B song.
PartyNextDoor recently dropped an album (PARTYNEXTDOOR 4) on April 26 2024. 1 of his songs on the album “ No Chill” has reached 150 billion streams as well as #2 on the R&B billboard ,and 10 on the billboard 200. The song is currently trending all over TikTok. Sooner than later on July 17 he followed with a music video which made the fans go crazy. He is now taking that album to the next level by preforming all over the country. People have created dance challenges to his No Chill song, in which he recognizes and reposts on his platform(s).
Many say his song No Chill tells a story. A story about self reflection and the complexity of loving someone. I personally believe that more than half his song tells this story. His song No Chill is nothing new to be heard. It is a pretty good song but the hype should be more towards his other songs on the albums such as RESENTMENT and REAL WOMAN, these songs need to be recognized more. The symphony and writing is immaculately done.
