“Nobody is illegal on stolen land” means no one should be called illegal for living here because this land was taken from Native Americans a long time ago. I think this is about fairness and respect for everyone.
I think some students at North High might agree with this and feel proud because it supports people from all backgrounds. Some might feel it is important because their own families came from other countries, and this reminds them they belong here too. Other students might feel confused or not think about it much, but hearing this saying could make them think differently about how we treat each other.
To me, this is about making sure everyone feels welcome and not left out. Fairness means giving everyone a chance to live, work, and be happy without being judged for who they are or where they come from. This also reminds me of what happened in Worcester when ICE agents arrested a mother in front of her daughters after using family to get her to leave her home. The older daughter tried to stop the car and things got chaotic. This made many people angry and scared because it showed how families can be torn apart before anyone gets a chance to explain their situation or be heard.
