“Gyaru” or in the english slang term,”Gal” is a type of Japanese subculture fashion for all ages. It depends on a strong make-up look,cool dyed hair, their long acrylic nails, and of course it’s unique Fashion sense. This style was a form of “rebelling”social and aesthetic standards in Japan.
2. Scene
“Scene” is a type of style that get’s easily mistaken as “Emo”. Even though they do look similar pay close attention towards colors and differences towards eachother. Scene is more about style and color while Emo is music based. Scene comes from early 2000s in the United States. Scene fashion consistes skinny jeans, bright colored clothing, hair being straight or flat with long bangs, hair is usually dyed with bright or dark colors.
3. Decora
“Decora” short for “Decoration style” is another Japanese subculture that goes all out. As you can tell by the name, Decora basically is decorating yourself with lots and lots of accessories. It’s a form of expression in maximalism in the Harajuku Fashion. Decora consistes bright colors (sometimes dark), bright hair, accesories that matches their color scheme, stickers on face, and it can have bold make-up looks.
4. Goth
“Goth” is a music based subculture that emerged in theUnited Kingdom. Since this style is more about music taste, it has inspired people to create this style by Gothic literature, horror films and historical fashion from the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Their style consists dark clothing, dramatic black and white make-up, and black dramatic hair.
