Top 5 Horror Movies for Halloween
For people who enjoy the horror genre, and like watching movies during Halloween. Some of these are personal picks that I have watched, while others are classics that I would recommend for a Halloween movie night. There are many different genres of horror listed below.
Wrong Turn: This is one of those movies that I wouldn’t suggest for people who can’t handle a lot of horror. It’s about people who get lost and encounter monstrous, cannibalistic mountain dwellers. The characters in the movie struggle for survival in a hopeless forest. It’s not a very well known movie, but it would be a great watch on Halloween night.
Terrifier: This movie has a lot of gore, so it’s not the best to watch if you are sensitive to such things. The movie revolves around a crazy clown who stalks and tries to kill three women in a wretched old apartment building on Halloween night. There have been more recent versions of this movie made, which shows how this invincible killer clown keeps reviving from the dead to terrorize others.
The Conjuring: This is a classic movie about a real life case of a family that encounters a supernatural presence in their new home, and have to seek help from paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. The overall vibe is eerie, and keeps viewers anticipating what happens to the family next.
Halloween: A well known horror movie about six year old Michael Myers, who murders his sister, and is locked away in a strict jail facility for 15 years before breaking out on Halloween and wreaking havoc on everyone. This is one of those movies that might keep you looking over your shoulder.
The Purge: This is a classic scary movie, about a crime driven America, where the government organizes an annual 12-hour period during which all criminal activity is made legal. A movie that ramps up your adrenaline.
