A Musical Community or a Community Music?
Last year was the first musical at North high school in many years. Students have jumped headfirst into the experience of putting together a musical, something that we didn’t have at North for a long time, and this year it showed the dedication and effort that students put into it. We had spoke to several students about their experience in the musical, and what it meant to them to have this artistic and dramatic outlet.
The students are backstage preparing for the show. We interviewed some of the cast members of the play.
We interviewed Peter, the lead character.
“It started off a little bit weird but we been pulling it off, we’re going to do great today, i think its going to turn out amazing because we have a really great cast, really good energy.”
As I interviewed them, I noticed everyone was running up and down trying to get what they needed and finishing any last touches before the play.
The students were amazing during the play, their acting was spot on and it was filled with many personalities.
Peter had said
“Last years play was a musical and this years play is really more acting base so it was definitely a lot more for everybody to learn their lines, and to learn their cues.”
Peter and Molly looking at the object.
Molly had said
”I think both plays were equally as good bu this play was definitely more tough than before’s.”
Sierra who plays Mrs.Bumbreak
”I feel like we really came together in the end and pulled through and im really proud of everyone. Its a very interesting play, it’s really silly and funny and everyone made sure to give it their best”
A take away one of the actors stated.
”You need to trust the process.”
