Repeat Album: Currents – Tame Impala

Reasoning:

“I love this album due to the message it sends across. Currents has been my favorite album since I first discovered it via the song “The Less I Know The Better” which got me invested in Tame Impala in general. After that I was curious as to what the rest of the album had in store, mind you before Currents I never fully cared about albums I just wanted a song to listen to. So when I heard the first song on the album I was blown away. “Let It Happen” changed my outlook on life and even became my motto for when i get too overwhelmed. The song “Let It Happen” is all about allowing yourself to jump into the unknown and, like the title states, let it happen. This song forever became my favorite and I listen to it daily. As for the rest of the album it includes songs like “The Moment”, “Reality In Motion”, and “Disciples” To lighten the mood but also giving song that help you cope with certain feelings for example “Yes, Im changing”, “Eventually” and “New Person, Same Old Mistakes”. All in all Currents relays a message of change is hard and it will always happen but it’s what you make of it that will shape you.”

Tame Impala’s third album Currents released in 2015 showcasing genres such as synth-heavy pop, disco, and R&B exploring themes of personal transformation, heartbreak, and change. The most notable tracks on the album are “Let it Happen” and “The Less I Know The Better”.
