The Karen Reed case was a case that shocked everyone in the USA. Karen Reed was accused of running over her boyfriend John while drunk and while John was at a party. Sources say that John was found at 6 am but others say someone found him at 5 am and didn’t say anything.

When Karen saw the body she was hysterical and screaming. Soon after being discovered John was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime. Karen called Karie who was John’s best friend and also his high school prom date at 5am saying “John’s dead he’s dead. Karie Karie Karie.” despite his body being found an hour later.

Karen was then arrested on February first 2022 for second degree murder and manslaughter. Someone who is anonymous called Karen’s lawyer saying she was innocent and John had been beaten to death by someone at the party. The anonymous caller also said details about the autopsy photos despite them not being publicly released at the time.

Also everyone’s stories of what happened that night are different but everyone said Karen was acting crazy that night. There was also a string of phone calls from that night yet everyone denied or said they didn’t remember anything about the calls. It was odd because how could someone forget a call they made let alone several? Some people say “well trauma can block out memories.” but as far as I know none of them had PTSD or were traumatized.

I find it crazy that no one could remember their phone calls or even get a story set meanwhile they could remember Karen acting crazy? In my opinion she was framed.

As of June 18th 2025 Karen had been found not guilty of murder. As Karen left the court house that day people clapped and cheered since she had been found innocent. Also in the interview that you can view the side, she stated not feeling safe living in Massachusetts anymore due to getting threats. Luckily so far nothing has happened to Karen involving her physical well being as far as I know so hopefully it stays that way.
